The center has records since 1909, and the fee varies.

A Personal check or money order will need to be made payable to the Office of Vital Records. Phone (602) 364-1300 to verify the current fees, this will be a recorded message on how to apply. More information is also available from the Arizona Department of Health Services website.

However there are restrictions on obtaining records in this manner, you normally need to be a relative or representative of one.

Marriage and divorce records can be accessed through the clerk of the Superior Court, in the county where the event occurred.

You may also be able to access vital records at any of the county vital records offices below. However some offices do not contain any records, and you will have to write to the address above.

Arizona is famous for it's legends and history.

First explored by a European in 1539, span ish Franciscan friar was actually searching for the mythical Seven Cities of Gold. Many have followed him since in search of gold, but it wasn't really settled until 1775.

Arizona is also known for it's wild west, and the legends of cowboys and Indians. Many great historical events and battles took place here, such as the well known gun fight at the O.K. Corral.

Now days manufacturing has become the main industry of Arizona, with half of all the countries copper coming from the industrious state. Cattle, cotton and dairy products are also big exports.

The most popular area in Arizona is the Grand Canyon, contained mostly within the Grand Canyon National Park. One of the seven wonders of the world, it is virtually an ecosystem within itself, and tourists are drawn to the vast variety of plants and animals that can be found living within it.

Aside from the Grand Canyon, Arizona is a great vacation destination due to its desert climate and tourist-friendly cities such as Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Scottsdale. Visitors are sure to travel east of Flagstaff to view the Meteor Crater, created some 40,000 years ago, and can be seen from space.

Despite the summer months being some of the hottest in the US, winter nights in Arizona can get down to below freezing. There is a monsoon season in parts of Arizona which can bring torrential rain and thunderstorms. So whether you are looking for hot days or cooler nights, Arizona has it all.
