The center has divorce papers from July 1951 to December 2002. After 2003, all records are only available from the county circuit court.

It costs $10 to lookup Hawaii divorce records.

Hawaii is a small state in the United States. It is noted for its diverse population. White Americans, Black Americans, American Indians, Asians and Pacific Islander Americans live in this state.

According to a survey taken in 1994, the number of divorces in the state was 4,979. The Office of Health Status Monitoring, Department of Health, Hawaii is responsible for maintaining and issuing Hawaii Divorce papers. The certified copy of divorce record is issued only the registrants, parents of the registrants, children, grandchildren, legal guardian, adoptive parents or the person or agency acts on behalf of the registrants. If the divorce records are not available in Hawaii Office of Health Status Monitoring, the requestor can contact the Circuit Court in the region, where the divorce was granted.

The applicant needs to specify the name of the husband and wife, including her maiden name, month, day and year of divorce, city, town or island, where the event occurred, his/her relationship to the registrants, the reason for why he/she needs the copy of the Hawaii divorce records, his/her full name, address and telephone number. The requestor needs to submit the application form along with the check or money order drawn in favor of the Department of Health.
