The Vital Records division in the Department of Public Health, Illinois maintains the marriage records. A certified copy of Illinois marriage papers are available only to the concerned persons, whose names are appeared on the certificate and their immediate family members.

You can send a mail to the Vital Records office to get a copy of Illinois marriage records. You need to specify the names of husband and wife, their age, date of marriage, place of marriage and how you are related to them. You need to send the fees amount by a check or money order payable to the Illinois department of public health. You can order for a certified copy via fax. You need to include the details like your credit card number, date of expiration, daytime telephone number and area code, if you order for the marriage record by fax.
