Information about Texas
Lone Star State

Capital: Austin

The term ‘Don’t Mess With Texas’ represents more than just an attempt to keep the roadways and highways free of litter; it has become a Texas ethnocentrism appropriated by the Texans for everyday use, and deemed quite appropriate for The Lone Star State.

Most cowboy stories or movies we have known are largely based on the image of the Texan cowboy; young bachelors as animal herders tending cattle on the ranches of early Texas. Cattle and farming are just as important today, with Texas leading the US in livestock production. It is also home to the most farms and highest acreage in the nation.

In addition to livestock, Texas also produces the most cotton, cement, salt, lime and gravel. Texas is a virtual powerhouse in almost every subject; it produces the most wind power in the US and also has the most Fortune 500 companies than any other state, making its gross state product undoubtedly the second in the nation.
